ASSIGNMENT 1

Progress

We started our first assignment by doing some research regarding Malaysian products. We were asked to research on 3 different products so that we wont waste time just spending on doing research. I did research on Anyaman, Wau and Ukiran Kayu.

During tutorial session, the three lecturers chose anyaman as they said anyaman has better qualities (characteristic-wise).

As part of our research, we were asked to go to Hari Kraf Kebangsaan located in Kuala Lumpur. I visited the place w Hazel Lin and we explored all the products available there. I found a lot of Malaysian products, all includes fashion, crafts, even food. It was a fun experience and I was able to ask some of the booth staffs there regarding their product.

ASSIGNMENT 2

Progress

Our Site Visit was located in Melaka, hence we had our class trip there. During our stay in Melaka, we were told to do a lot of sketching on things that we see there. I did a few sketches and i also used my sketchbook to sketch out the measurement taken when we measured the site.

Doing our group project was really fun. I love my group members, everyone contributed a lot! We stayed over at campus for a few days in a span of 2 weeks as we race against the submission deadline. We had complications at first, where we got confused as to what our group were supposed to do. There was a slight swap between our group and Darren's. After the leader had a short discussion, we ended up doing Site Exploration.

Progress

I visited Mid Valley as I was informed by Ms Noorseah that there is a anyaman inspired decorations on the centre court of Mid Valley. Hence, I visited the place to take a look and gain infos on how they apply anyaman onto the interior decoration.
