Experience
I never would've thought that I would have my artwork (photography work) to be exhibited in an exhibition. Also, I thought my photos were pretty decent and not as attractive as others. I am very very grateful to be given this opportunity.
Putting up the photos were quite challenging. First challenge is to determine whether the masking tape we pasted is straight or not. Most of the time, they are not straight hahaha. Second is to ensure that there wont be any bubbles on the picture as we paste another masking tape on the back of the paper. Thirdly, dismantling the pictures while making sure the the paper wont tear or the painted layer of the wall wont come off as well.
It was interesting to see everyone's pictures altogether in one room. I think this was a good way for us students to gain experience in setting up a photo exhibition. I had fun and I'm sure most of us had fun too.
Observations
I noticed that it was quite difficult to properly put the masking tape at the back of the photos, also while putting it on the wall. Dismantling them was also quite a task because we must make sure the painted wall wont come off.
Findings
I realised that I do not have to go overboard on choosing a subject for taking a picture. Even a simple photograph of something we have seen everyday can be something exquisite as well. Most of my friends' pictures are like that. They are things we see everyday but did not take notice of.
