ASSIGNMENT 3: MATERIAL EXPLORATION

Instructions : Using the black squares design (from previous assignment), explore 2 of the design and combine it in one artwork.

 

Rhythm (the top one) 

Tension (the bottom one)

 

I combined both Rhythm and Tension .

And this is what I came up with. 

Stencil that I made to create the artwork.

PROCESS 

1. I randomly drew the tension and rhythm in a paper (following close to the tracing paper assessment)
2. From there, I decide the positive and negative side. I cut out the negative space out to create a stencil. (Paper: 150 gsm)
3. Next, I placed the stencil over a blank A3 paper. Using a gold spray paint, I carefully spray all over the paper.
